for a VP, Data AcquisitionTarget total compensation ranges from
$355,000 - $500,000, including a fixed annual salary of $245,000 -
$290,000, an employee equity plan grant, and world-class
benefits.Equity grants are issued in good faith and are subject to
company policies, board approval, and individual eligibility.As the
VP, Data Acquisition at Rokt, you'll lead initiatives to ingest and
activate high-quality data sources that strengthen the Rokt Brain
and Rokt Network. You will own the strategy, execution, and partner
relationships needed to strategically acquire and integrate
third-party data into Rokt's AI-powered ecosystem, helping to
strengthen our foundation in Identity, improve targeting and
relevance precision, boost attribution, and drive measurable
commercial outcomes.This role requires both strategic thinking and
hands-on execution. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with
Product, Engineering, Data Science, Commercial, and Legal
stakeholders to scale our data acquisition programs globally, in
line with privacy standards and business needs.About the role:
- Design and own the data acquisition strategy, including
partnerships, negotiation, analysis frameworks, and performance
monitoring.
- Work in tandem with Data Science and Analytics to create and
own repeatable frameworks for evaluating external data providers in
terms of their contribution to Rokt's data strategy, and against
our existing investments.
- Lead complex negotiations and partnerships with third-party
data vendors, ensuring commercial, legal, and technical
alignment.
- Ensure cross-functional alignment to support implementation of
new data sources with Engineering, Analytics, and Product.
- Continuously optimize data inputs, balancing cost, performance,
and AI model value-add.
- Act as the internal SME on third-party data, with broad
visibility into the data landscape across domestic, international
and B2B markets, while staying abreast of industry shifts (e.g.
signal loss, deprecation of cookies, changes in regulations).
- Optimize data performance to drive the flywheel that sits at
the center of the Rokt brain with performance measured against
Rokt's strategic objectives.
- Utilize AI to run faster and leaner across all aspects of
Rokt's data strategy and acquisition motions.About you:
- 8+ years in data acquisition, partnerships, data strategy, or a
related field at a data-rich or adtech company.
- Proven experience managing data strategy for large-scale
systems, ideally with AI/ML use cases.
- Strong track record of successful negotiations against data
vendors.
- Deep knowledge of data vendors, analysis frameworks and
analytics, enrichment techniques, and ID resolution tools.
- Strong commercial and technical acumen-you can evaluate a data
source from both a business and engineering lens.
- Financial acumen - you will own a budget and are accountable to
maximizing return on investment.
- Exceptional cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder
management skills.
- Deep familiarity with data privacy laws and governance
frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Entrepreneurial mindset-comfortable in ambiguity, proactive,
and impact-oriented.
- Management experience - overtime, you may own an organization
