Bookkeeper – Law Firm Experience Required Location: New York, NY Salary: Up to $85,000 SourceProSearch is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with a background in law firm accounting to join the team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager , this role is responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping, administrative tasks, and office facilities management . The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of handling multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced legal environment. Key Responsibilities: General bookkeeping : Record journal entries, process invoices, and manage accounts receivable/payable. Banking & reconciliations : Perform bank deposits, credit card reconciliations, and vendor account setups. Vendor & billing management : Communicate with vendors regarding billing matters and oversee account setup. Office administration : Manage office supply purchases, coordinate with IT vendors, and liaise with building management. Event coordination : Assist with organizing and coordinating social events. Data management : Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards. Other accounting & administrative duties as required. Qualifications: Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience , preferably in a law firm or professional services setting . Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software. Strong Excel skills (ability to create formulas and manipulate data). Excellent verbal and written communication skills . High attention to detail and strong organizational skills . Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain confidentiality .
