Job Description:

Specialized Fire is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our Engineering & Maintenance division. In this role, you will be responsible for creating accurate cost estimates for fire protection products and services, ensuring that our firefighting solutions are budget-friendly while maintaining the highest standards of safety and effectiveness. As an integral member of our team, you'll work closely with project managers, engineers, and sales teams to develop estimates that help drive strategic decisions and support our mission of delivering premier fire protection equipment. Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications and identifying risk factors. Engage with vendors and suppliers to discuss costings and services ensuring accurate estimate data. Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to ensure that estimates meet financial and technical requirements. Review data about material labor, and time requirements to cover new bids and proposals. Monitor industry trends and prices to ensure our estimates remain competitive and viable. Present estimates and project budgets to senior management with a clear and concise rationale. Strong analytical and mathematical skills Proficient with estimating software and data analysis tools Excellent communication and negotiation skills Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints Strong understanding of fire protection systems and components Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
