Melville Headquarters About the Role Canon is seeking an
experienced Senior Government Bid Specialist to lead the
preparation, coordination, and submission of competitive and
compliant proposals in response to federal government solicitations
(RFPs, RFIs, RFQs). The ideal candidate will have extensive
knowledge of the government procurement process, strong project
management skills, and the ability to develop winning strategies in
collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Your Impact
Key Responsibilites: - Analyze government solicitations and manage
the end-to-end bid response process. - Develop and maintain
proposal schedules, outlines, compliance matrices, and response
templates. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales,
pricing, contracts, legal, technical, etc.) to gather input and
write compelling, compliant content. - Conduct final quality
assurance checks to ensure submissions meet all requirements and
deadlines. - Maintain and update bid libraries, templates, and past
performance documentation. - Track and manage multiple simultaneous
bid efforts under tight deadlines. - Interface with contracting
officers and procurement officials when clarification is needed. -
Provide strategic input during proposal reviews (e.g., color team
reviews). - Support post-submission activities, including
best-and-final offers, clarifications, and award debriefings. About
You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring Bachelor's degree in a
relevant field. 5 years of related experience. Experience,
including three years as a Government Bid Specialist at the GMD.
Must have extensive knowledge of procurement rules and regulations
within the scope of his/her Bid Specialist responsibilities and be
able to identify clauses missing from a solicitation. Excellent
verbal and written communication skills are required as is the
ability to work under pressure and adhere to all deadline
requirements. Must be proficient in MS Office/Good Workspace and
database applications. We are providing the anticipated base salary
range for this role: $$76,150-$ 114,040 annually Company Overview
