The network plans to grow from a current four elementary and two middle schools to four elementary and four middle schools educating some 4,000 students in the Bronx. Core to our mission is that our students become young men and women of good character and spirit and be prepared for excellence in high school, college, and beyond.About the job of the Network Manager of High School Placement & ReadinessThe Network High School Readiness & Placement Manager serves as the strategic and operational leader driving a unified, mission-aligned approach to high school readiness and placement across all Brilla middle schools. This individual will create, manage, and refine systems to ensure that every graduating 8th grader is equipped-academically, socially, and financially-for acceptance into a high-performing high school that aligns with their talents, goals, and family values.This leader will report directly to the Managing Director of Student Success and will collaborate closely with the Superintendent of Middle Schools, campus principals, and a cohort of High School Placement Counselors whom they will coach and support.Main Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee a unified high school readiness and placement strategy across all Brilla middle schools to ensure alignment, equity, and excellence in outcomes for students and families.
  • Provide consistent coaching, support, and professional development to campus-based High School Placement Counselors to strengthen school-based implementation and results.
  • Plan and lead Network High School Placement Meetings to align teams on goals, troubleshoot barriers, and share best practices across campuses.
  • Develop and manage tools such as the High School Placement Tracker, High School Quality & Contact Sheet, and HEART data system to streamline and elevate placement work.
  • Monitor, analyze, and act on student placement and scholarship data to inform strategy adjustments and support accountability at both the campus and network level.
  • Collaborate with counselors to design and execute high-quality family workshops, communication plans, and touchpoints throughout the admissions and financial aid processes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with high school admissions officers, scholarship foundations, and summer enrichment programs to increase access and opportunity for Brilla graduates.
  • Partner with Seton's Advancement team to engage philanthropic partners and advocate for financial aid support and tuition assistance for Brilla alumni.
  • Maintain graduate data systems, support alumni events, and contribute to a long-term vision for tracking and supporting Brilla students beyond 8th grade.
  • Serve as a visible, mission-aligned leader who communicates with clarity, leads cross-functional teams with humility and urgency, and represents Brilla and Seton with professionalism and purpose.Qualifications and Desired Characteristics
    • Candidates for the position must possess the following personal characteristics:

    • A strong belief that all children can achieve both moral and academic excellence.
    • Proven track record of high school placement, college counseling, or admissions work with historically underserved students.
    • At least 3 years of experience with demonstrated success in placing students in selective high schools and/or securing financial aid.
    • Strong relationship-building skills with families, school leaders, philanthropic partners, and admissions officers.
    • Ability to coach and lead adults across multiple campuses and to drive cross-functional initiatives.
    • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
    • Knowledge of NYC DOE high school admissions, Catholic and independent schools, and scholarship systems (preferred).
    • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or certification in counseling, college advising, or educational leadership preferred.

New hires will typically start at the lower end of this range, depending on their relevant experience, job-related knowledge, skills, and internal equity considerations. Compensation is determined based on our salary scales.
