DutiesVA offers a comprehensive total rewards package: VA Nurse Total RewardsPrimary Care is recruiting for an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse for the role of Nurse Practitioner Faculty for the Center of Excellence (COE) at the West Haven campus. The incumbent will be faculty in a post-graduate fellowship program centering on inter-professional primary care practice. The incumbent will be responsible for all applicable clinical, administrative, educational and professional activities as APRN in the primary care practice. As an APRN Faulty for the COE, the selected applicant will practice independently and inter-professionally in the primary care setting; function as a preceptorto nurse practitioner students and fellows; teach faculty seminars as assigned; and as a consultant to other healthcare professionals. OR The completion of coursework equivalent to a nursing degree in a MSN Bridge Program that qualifies for professional nursing registration constitutes the completion of an approved course of study of professional nursing. Students should submit the certificate of professional nursing to sit for the NCLEX to the VA along with a copy of the MSN transcript.
