Job Description:

Perform clinical laboratory procedures, examinations, and tests according to established protocols, maintaining equipment and records, and ensuring quality assurance.
Job Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Perform assays of biological specimens using specific instruments, equipment, reagents, and techniques.
  
• Review and report results, maintaining proper documentation and alerting supervisors to problems or unusual results.
  
• Maintain equipment in operating condition through routine preventive maintenance and proper documentation.
  
• Perform and document Quality Control Procedures and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manual, following laboratory policies and procedures.
  
• Treat proficiency test samples with respect to receipt and analysis, performing special test procedures as directed.
  
• Identify, correct, and report problems that may affect test performance or results reporting.
  
• Document corrective action taken when test systems deviate from laboratory performance specifications.
  
• Troubleshoot equipment to correct malfunctions.
  
• Perform related duties as required.
  
  Job Qualifications:
  
  • 
    
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
    
  • Current License to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
    
  • 0-1 years of technical experience required.
    
    Preferred Skills/Experience:
    
    • 
      
    • Hematology differentials experience.
