Job Description:
A leading acute care hospital located on the south shore of Long
Island is now seeking an experienced Nurse Educator Critical Care
to join their award-winning healthcare organization.
For more than 50 years, this community based hospital has offered
advanced inpatient, outpatient, and tertiary care services to the
surrounding communities. This location boasts a Level III Trauma
Center, an awarded Cardiac Center, newly advanced surgical
services, imaging and laboratory care, and much more. This team is
proud to represent clinical growth and positive patient
outcomes.
Reporting to the Director Nursing Education, the Nurse Educator
will oversee orientation and ongoing education of the Critical Care
department. This unit currently operates a 10-bed Surgical ICU and
a 14-bed Medical ICU. Responsibilities of the Nurse Educator
Critical Care include analyzing performance of clinical staff,
identifying areas of improvement, designing custom orientation and
education programs, ensuring alignment with organizational values
and goals, and participating in various hospital committees.
What's Needed to Succeed:
Degree from an accredited Nursing program
Registered Nurse RN license in the state of New York or ability to
obtain
Progressive knowledge of critical care nursing and prior educator
experience is a plus!
