St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport has more than 3,200 employees. It includes a 473-bed community teaching hospital, a 76-bed inpatient psychiatric facility in Westport, a large multispecialty provider group, and special needs services for adults and children. Job Summary:
--- Manages school health program activities, workflow and assigned nursing resources.

Responsibilities:
--- Ensures compliance with regulatory and school district requirements. Ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
--- Conducts hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of staff.
--- Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of patient care services. Participates in development and implementation of programs to ensure efficient and effective delivery of health services.
--- Monitors and adheres to budget. Performs other administrative functions such as reporting and audits.
--- Provides direct nursing and supporting healthcare and assists in the implementation of instructional activities for assigned program.
--- Administers nursing services in compliance with established standards and practices.
--- Assesses the performance of employees and provides effective operational supervision and support to assigned LPNs, RNs, and any other staff providing medically oriented service.
--- Reports changes in student's functioning/condition and other significant information to parents/guardians, other healthcare providers and responsible parties involved in care.
--- Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications
Licensure / Certification / Registration: --- Required Credential(s):
--- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
--- One or more of the following:
--- Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
--- Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Red Cross obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
--- Graduate of an accredited BSN program

Work Experience:
--- At least 5 years nursing experience.
--- Experience working with developmental disabilities preferred.
--- Leadership and supervisory experience required.
