Job Description:

We areseeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with thoracicsurgery expertise to join a dynamic surgical team on a locum tenens basis in Bridgeport,Connecticut. This role is ideal for an advanced practice provider who isconfident in the operating room, clinic, and inpatient settings, with provenexperience in robotic thoracic surgery. -PositionDetails: -

• Schedule: 3-4 days per week
• Hours: Approximately 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Weekend Call: Optional (OR cases only) -KeyResponsibilities: -
  • First assist in the OR, including robotic thoracic surgical procedures
  • Manage inpatient care: rounding, admissions, and discharges
  • Evaluate and follow-up with outpatient clinic patients
  • Support a case mix including minimally invasive lung surgery and foregut surgery
  • Collaborate closely with thoracic surgeons and multidisciplinary care teams -RequiredQualifications: -
    • Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with active Connecticut license
    • Thoracic robotic surgery experience required
    • Proficiency in OR first assist, inpatient, and outpatient thoracic care
    • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
