Job Description Job Description Overview of the Physiatrist
Position in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation We are seeking a
board-certified or board-eligible physiatrist to join our team at a
prominent hospital in New York City. This role focuses on Physical
Medicine and Rehabilitation, where the selected candidate will be
responsible for conducting assessments, developing rehabilitation
plans, performing electrodiagnostic and injection procedures, and
guiding multidisciplinary care teams. The position offers a

environment. We are expanding our Rehabilitation Medicine division
and are looking for a dedicated Physiatrist. Our facility is the
largest hospital in Central Harlem and serves as the only Safety
Net Hospital in Northern Manhattan. We are recognized for our

Bariatric Surgery, Breast Imaging, and Sexual Assault Forensics,

immigration status or financial capability. Key Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with a diverse team, including physiatrists,
physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists,
clerical staff, and nursing personnel. Conduct thorough evaluations
and create tailored rehabilitation programs for patients. Provide
care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Lead and coordinate
a team of therapy and clinical professionals to achieve optimal
patient outcomes. Perform electrodiagnostic studies, Botox
injections, joint/trigger point injections, and hyaluronic acid
injections. Maintain a regular schedule of weekdays from 8:30 AM to
4:30 PM, with no weekend or on-call duties. Qualifications: Board
Certification or Eligibility in Physical Medicine and
Rehabilitation. Possession of an active or eligible New York State
medical license. Preferred experience in pediatric rehabilitation,
wheelchair clinics, orthotic and prosthetic clinics, and
acupuncture. Preferred proficiency in musculoskeletal ultrasound.
Compensation and Benefits: Annual Base Salary: $222,000* (for board
eligible) and $227,000* (for board certified), based on a 40-hour
work week. Additional compensation may be available for extra call
or sessional/per diem hours. The estimated total annual
compensation package is approximately $339,720 (for board eligible)
and $345,220 (for board certified), which includes the base salary,
401(k) contributions, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors
outlined below: Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional
sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520. Potential
bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average),
contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets. 401(k)
Company Contribution (subject to IRS limits): Immediate vesting in
a 3% company contribution of base earnings, with no employee match
required. After one year of service, an additional 7% company
contribution of base earnings, with no employee match required.
Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) reimbursement. Generous
Paid Time Off (PTO) policy, including vacation, sick leave,
holidays, and CME days. Comprehensive Medical, Prescription, and
Dental Coverage with employee contributions significantly below
market rates. Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment
(AD&D) coverage equal to 2x your salary (up to a maximum of
$300,000) at no cost to you. Additional voluntary life and AD&D
coverage options are available for you and your family. Loan
Forgiveness opportunities may be available through certain state or
federal programs. Medical Malpractice Coverage (equivalent to
occurrence-based) provided at no cost to the employee. Flexible
Spending Accounts (FSAs) for healthcare and dependent care. Pre-tax
contributions for commuting expenses. Visa sponsorship may be
