Job Description Job Description Respiratory Therapist (RRT / CRT) – Travel or Local Contract Location: Hyannis, MA 02601 Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Schedule: 36 hours/week | Rotating Days/Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Compensation: Local: $2,100/week Travel: $2,536.12/week Position Summary "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to deliver comprehensive respiratory care across neonatal, pediatric, and adult patient populations. This role supports acute and critical care environments and requires strong clinical skills, teamwork, and professionalism. Key Responsibilities Assess, identify, and manage acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions Initiate, monitor, troubleshoot, and wean invasive and non-invasive ventilation using lung-protective strategies Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures, including ABG draws, sputum collection, bedside spirometry, and capnography Respond to emergency situations, including Code Blue and Rapid Response Team activations Monitor and manage respiratory care during patient transport Assist with conscious sedation, intubations, bronchoscopies, and airway management procedures Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen, Heliox, high-flow oxygen, aerosols, and metered-dose medications Provide respiratory care for neonatal and pediatric patients using approved treatment modalities Manage artificial airways, including tracheostomy and laryngectomy care Perform nasotracheal, endotracheal, and tracheostomy suctioning Assist with tracheostomy tube changes and ensure accurate EMR documentation Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams during patient care and rounds Maintain accurate documentation, charge entry, and daily reconciliation in the EMR Ensure proper maintenance of respiratory equipment, supplies, and inventory Precept, train, and orient staff and students as needed Demonstrate professional communication, service excellence, and patient-centered care Participate in continuing education and professional development activities Qualifications Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) Active Massachusetts Respiratory Therapy license Current BLS certification Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification Minimum one year of critical care experience preferred Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment For more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
