Job Description:

The Bronx, NY Veterans Affairs Medical Center is recruiting a Primary Care - Women’s Health physician . You will be a part of a multidisciplinary team to provide primary care and gender specific care of female veterans of all ages at the medical center. The Team includes pharmacy, gynecology, social work, mental health and nutrition. Care includes but is not limited to: preventive health care; primary care evaluation and management of chronic and acute medical conditions; gender specific care, etc. gynecological care, birth control counseling and management, preconception care, breast and cervical cancer screenings, HPV vaccinations, pelvic exams, treatment and prevention of sexually transmitted infections, pelvic/abdominal pain, menstrual concerns, vaginal symptoms (dryness/infections), urinary incontinence, initial infertility evaluation, menopause evaluation and treatment (hormone replacement). You will collaborate with 2 gynecologists on site, a women's veterans practice manager, maternity coordinator, breast care/mammographer coordinator and breast surgeon. Care is provided to the patients in multiple modalities including face-to-face, virtual, secure messaging and telephone including coordination of care Participate in medical student and medical resident supervision in clinic.
