$77,000-$90,000 annually, commensurate on experience. Job Summary &
Responsibilities QSAC is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic
Occupational Therapist (OT) to work with children and young adults.
This opportunity is located at our Whitestone Day School. The OT
will follow a treatment plan/IEP goals developed to improve,
develop, restore, or maintain opportunities for active
participation in self-maintenance, work, leisure, and play for the
students we support. OT’s will also provide education and training
to Occupational Therapy Assistants. Responsibilities Treatment
Plans & Supervision Direct service according to a written treatment
plan/IEP that the OT develops Recommend modification of treatment
approaches to reflect the student’s changing needs Develop
appropriate plans for the students being supported OT’s will
provide collaborative education and supervision services to promote
best practices and professional growth to Certified Occupational
Therapy Assistant Communication & Administration Communicates and
interacts with other team members, school personnel, and families
Develop and maintain a daily schedule, which includes sites,
students/classrooms and other activities/duties Maintain and
records accurate records and documentation Maintain high standards
of confidentiality, attendance, and flexibility, while working
cooperatively with Supervisors and other employees Qualifications
and Work Experience Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy
program required Current New York State OT license to practice
required Experience working with people with autism highly
preferred One to three years’ experience working as an OT in a
related setting preferred Mission QSAC is a New York City and Long
