Job Description Pharmacy Technician – Correctional Health Service Division: Correctional Health Services Department: Clinical Pharmacy Location: East Elmhurst, New York Job Type: Contract Duration: 13 weeks with possible Extension Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM | 37.5 hours per week Key Responsibilities Assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications Receive, return, and deliver medications, medication carts, and supplies to various areas Maintain accurate drug inventory Operate pharmacy equipment and automated dispensing systems Troubleshoot automated dispensing systems as necessary Perform duties with accuracy and attention to detail within specified timeframes Rotate assignments and tours based on departmental needs Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Minimum of one (1) year of pharmacy technician experience Current registration as a Registered Pharmacy Technician with the New York State Education Department (NYSED) Primary Source Verification of license and registration from NYSED
