-Prepare cold food of consistent quality following recipe cards and
production and portion standards, per check from servers.
-Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not
to over prepare estimated needs.
-Date all food containers and rotate as per Crescent standards,
making sure that all perishables are kept at proper
-Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer
pull and line set up. Note any out-of stock items or possible
shortages. Assist in keeping buffet stocked.
-Return all food items not used on next shift to designated storage
areas, being sure to cover/date all perishables.
-Assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost
problems, control food waste, loss and usage per Crescent
-Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular
-Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
-Prepares all colds foods for banquet meals according to standard
recipes to ensure consistency of product to the guest.
-Visually inspects, selects and uses only food items of the highest
quality in the preparation of all menu items.
-Employee will maintain control charts of all food items produced
and be responsible for opening and closing checklists and
production of daily menu items.
-Set up, produce, and control quality of all food items
-Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils
-Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards.
-Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and
-Other duties include being able to read, follow menus and recipes,
compute basic mathematical calculations.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
-Must have the ability to communicate in English.
-Must be available to work a flexible schedule
-Minimum of two years experience is preferred.
