Job Description:

The incumbent serves as the Training Coordinator for Group Practice Management. The primary responsibility of the incumbent is the development and implementation of the ongoing training programs for a l l employees (Medical Support Assistants, Schedulers and Clerks) within the V ACT S y s t e m that have responsibility for using MAS (Medical Administration Specialist) packages to perform their duties. [ "Some duties may include: The incumbent develops and modifies courses, sets training priorities, researches and recommends new or alternative training sources for the VACT. Develops and updates courses (including web-based) policies, guidelines, instructional methods, materials, etc. for GPM training programs and provides instructions regarding online training methods. Develops/improves training programs to insure that quality provisions are planned, developed and implemented to identify, prevent and correct unsatisfactory conditions and elements which influence the regulatory correctness and responsiveness of the GPM. He/she assesses training program quality and effectiveness for continuous improvement. The Training Coordinator develops the GPM training plan each fiscal year, as well as monthly training calendar of the days, times and location of the training programs for the Service. He/she provides training to supervisors and staff and assists in developing policies and standard operating procedures on various segments of business processes that facilitate goals and objectives of management, patient care, and process improvement. Works as a member of GPM team to develop and administer training programs of the GPM as well as administrative employees throughout facility, outpatient clinics and CBOCS. The Training Coordinator analyzes segments of business process or transaction, and identifies indicators, progress measures, objectives and emphasis areas for action improvement. The primary focus includes training on: scheduling package, electronic waiting list, eligibility and enrollment, means testing, beneficiary travel, Fee Basis, Release of information, ward administration, encounter management reporting, clinic set up procedures, customer service, new GPM initiatives, directives and processes, mandatory training and informational training material for all. He/she serves as the primary GPM TMS coordinator for tracking of all employee education and training hours utilizing established computer system software and the Talent Management System, and will use this to prepare reports on the status of training hours and mandatory courses. The incumbent works with the ADPAC and supervisors to develop data capture and electronic reporting procedures to track progress of quality program management initiatives. Incumbent will oversee the following programs: Audio care and scheduling post card program. Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
