Job Description:

The Advanced MSA works collaboratively in an interdisciplinary coordinated care delivery model and performs appointment schedules for the Inpatient Acute Care areas. [ "Some duties may include but are not limited to: The Advanced MSA must assist with emergency contingency plans by implementing the Nursing Operations Emergency Reporting Sheet for their designated area. The incumbent must assist with inter-unit/inter-facility patient transfers. Incumbent must screen/receive phone calls in a courteous and timely manner, determine the nature of requests and provide the information desired using privacy rules and established VHA guidelines. The incumbent must interact regularly with members of Nursing Service, human resources and other agencies by telephone and email exchange, while maintaining a professional and courteous manner. The incumbent will review the EHU patient log daily to identify the accuracy of demographics and ICD-coding diagnoses. Generates patient workload reports for validation and monitors activity in clinical areas to assure consistent and accurate reporting. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm, 3:30pm - 12:00am, with weekend rotations\nFinancial Disclosure Report: Not required" ]
