Tool and Die Maker

NAPCO Security Technologies, Inc., headquartered in Amityville, Long Island NY, is a world-wide leader in the manufacturing of electronic security systems for over 45 years has a full time opening for a Tool and Die Maker.



Responsibilities:

Making, repairing, and maintaining tools, dies, and fixtures for our pressroom.
Setup an operate machines such as lathes, mills, drill presses and grinders.
Be capable of using all necessary hand tools needed as well as maintaining an organized, clean, safe work area.

Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify tools and dies.
Assisting Pressroom supervisor with any necessary troubleshooting, tooling, maintenance, etc.
Troubleshooting production and quality problems related to tooling
Updating and maintaining tooling files.
Evaluating and improving tool performance.



Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years' experience working as a Tool and Die Maker.
Interpret blueprints to determine materials, specifications and tolerance for tools.

Ability to set-up and operate conventional tool room equipment.
Knowledge of Stamping and Progressive/Compound Dies.
CAD/CAM experience (AutoCad/MasterCam) a Plus.
Experience using VMC's and or Wire EDM a Plus.
