**This is a live-in position**
The Community Support Services program is looking for a Life Sharer
for our Shared Living home in West Haven, CT. The Shared Living
program is a residential option that allows a person who receives
funding from DDS to use their funding allocation to pay a caregiver
to live in the residence. The life-sharer would provide services to
the individuals from 11p- 9a Monday-Sunday, the life sharer lives
in the home sharing living expenses, rent, etc. The life sharer
receives a monthly stipend for the services they provide. The Life
Sharer responsibilities include but are not limited to providing
person centered support to the individuals in the home, providing
opportunities for learning, developing and maintaining ADL skills,
personal enrichment, preparing individuals for day program,
preparing breakfast, lunch, etc.
Shift:
Monday- Sunday 11p-9a
The life-sharer is allotted a certain amount of PTO that can be
used for vacations, personal time, etc.
Training/Certifications:
Must be able to complete all In-Services and/or training required
to fulfill the position.
Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR, PMT and First Aid
certifications
Requirements:
High School diploma
Valid driver's licences and insured vehicle
Ability to make independent decisions
Positive attitude towards the services provided
Willingness to be a team player
