Melville, NY is seeking a Senior Business Applications Analyst (Sr
Analyst, Business Applictns). The Senior Business Applications
Analyst researches, plans, and evaluates the effectiveness of
processes, systems, procedures, or methodologies, through review
and evaluation of detailed data. A fully qualified, seasoned
professional with a full understanding of the job role who works on
more complicated issues facing the department. Receives general
instruction from manager on new assignments, but little to no
direction in day-to-day work. Typically reports to a Manager or
Senior Manager, and may mentor or supervise one or two less
experienced professional staff.This position is full time and
offers a hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office
Monday and Wednesday and an option to work from home the remainder
of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in
office attendance on other days). Note that work schedules and
office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on
business needs. Responsibilities- Assists with business process
analysis, development, maintenance and enhancement of business
applications on various platforms, providing specialized technical
or business knowledge to projects, focusing on issues and requests
from Canon USA's (CUSA) subsidiary, Canon Solutions America (CSA)-
This position will work through the creation of functional
requirements and test plans in support of business process design,
new system development, software implementation prototype and
system testing, user training, and recommendations of business
procedure improvements- Implements and works with applicable
Business Users (BUs) to test the application- Will also address
production issues and defects, and will work with both BUs and
respective IT teams for resolution- Other areas of responsibility
and projects that are not CSA-centric, but are part of CUSA's
Business Imaging Communication Group's (BICG) Business Process
Planning team (BPP) may be assigned, as needed- Regular
communication and status updates to management will be required
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent
experience required, plus 5 years of related experience-
Exceptional organizational skills, and fluency in Microsoft Office
Suite required- Clear written and spoken communication skills
required- Public speaking via virtual and in-person meetings
expected- Experience in S21, Oracle, and EDI platforms a plusThe
