School of Medicine of Stony Brook University is seeking a
PULMONOLOGIST/INTENSIVIST/ SLEEP SPECIALIST to join our faculty in
the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. At
University Hospital the Division provides 24 hour intensivist
coverage and manages a closed 20 bed Medical Intensive Care Unit.
Our practice includes busy inpatient and outpatient consultative
services. In addition our Division offers the following areas of
clinical specialization: Pulmonary Hypertension Center, Lung Cancer
Evaluation Center, Interventional Pulmonary, and Sleep Disorders
Center. Faculty engage in state-of-the-art research in aerosolized
drug and delivery systems, pulmonary inflammatory cytokines,
cardiac arrest resuscitation, sleep-related somatic syndromes and
outcomes research in critical care. To qualify for an appointment
as Associate Professor the candidate must meet the School of
Medicine's criteria for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure located
at: We are seeking individuals to become involved with our
expanding program of patient care, teaching, and academic
scholarship. Opportunities for developing clinical or basic
research projects exist, potentially with support of targeted
research awards. Faculty and Fellows collaborate via a full
academic research year within our three-year Fellowship training

QUALIFICATIONS: MD (or foreign equivalent). Board Certified in
Internal Medicine. BC/BE in Pulmonary Diseases, Critical Care
Medicine, and Sleep Medicine. Testamur/Certification status in
Critical Care Echocardiography or Special Competence in Adult
