Job Description:
Family Service League (FSL) is seeking a dedicated Social Worker
to join our team on Long Island. In this role, you will be a
cornerstone of our mission, providing crucial social services to
individuals and families facing challenges such as mental health
issues, homelessness, and educational barriers. You will work
closely with clients to assess their needs, develop strategies to
address their concerns, and facilitate access to necessary
resources. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a

Conduct comprehensive assessments of client needs and situations.
Develop and implement tailored care plans. Provide crisis
intervention as necessary. Refer clients to appropriate community
resources. Advocate for clients with other agencies and service
providers. Maintain accurate records and documentation of client
interactions. Participate in continuing education and professional
development activities. Strong interpersonal and communication
skills Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism
Knowledge of community resources and services Proficient in case
management software and record keeping Strong problem-solving and
crisis management skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid state licensure as a Licensed
Social Worker (LSW) or equivalent. Driver’s license and reliable
transportation.
